Dear Alief,
So many times we've heard political and community figures go to great lengths to persuade us with their words that often fall-short of their actions. "Now is the time that we do our jobs as citizens, get off the sidelines, and get involved in the decisions that affect our society." Ann Williams is a shining example of what it means to be a citizen for the community! Ms. Williams is a parent, former educator, child advocate, and current Alief School Board Member (and not to mention also my mother) who has dedicated an immense amount of time and energy in guiding young people in a positive direction.

A TIME TO BE THANKFUL
Dear Alief,
What better time to say thank you than on Thanksgiving Day. We are now 15+ days passed a victorious re-election to Alief I.S.D. school board and yet daily we are sharing the news of our win and personally thanking individuals for their contributions to this success.
I want to begin by saying thanks to my parents, the late Reverend Sammie Joseph my father, a small business entrepreneur who taught me to be bold, stand firm on my beliefs and be accountable for my own actions. A special thanks to my mother Dr. Loretta Joseph, who has been my number #1 supporter in this battle to ensure children in Alief have access to quality education. Her wisdom and prayers have sustained me through the difficult times.
